Looking back at your prelim task, what have you learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

From the preliminary task, I feel that myself and the rest of my group have learnt a great deal in relation to progress to the full product. In the preliminary task we focused on in-action shots and our editing skill were not up to par. However, since then our editing skill has improved as we got to know the software better and we had focused on the shot types more. We used more close up shots in Broken Developments as we felt it created more of a thriller atmosphere and it made it more personal to the audience. Also, the changes between our first rough cut and our final product there is a noticeable change in the sense of music and editing. Although in our final product there are less camera shots (such as match-on-action or panning) it seems more effective to the audience in the sense of the fast close up shots suggest a sense of urgency and thrill. Unlike our final product, our rough cut followed a storyline though our preliminary task did not.
