This piano effect is one which we felt was fairly effective towards the audience. Although it is used in a different sense in House of 9 I thought the suspense and sorrow of the piece was fairly different to conventional thrillers. This was something I wanted to relay onto our thriller with a simple sinister piano piece playing throughout to leave the audience asking questions. Maybe pianos had some sort of role in the later film? Maybe it is an enigma code in itself?
